Parent Contributions

We would like to advise you of Barrawang Primary School’s voluntary financial contributions for 2024. Schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard Victorian curriculum and we want to assure you that all contributions are voluntary. On an annual basis, School Council will work closely with The Principal team and Business Manager to review the budget and set contributions necessary to meet the needs for the next school year. The ongoing support of our families ensures that our school can offer the best possible education and support for our students.

For further information on the Department’s Parent Payments Policy please see a one-page overview attached.

Canteen

Our school canteen operates every Wednesday and Friday.

Students can place their lunch order using the spriggy app and these are then delivered to your child's learning community at 1:20.

Steps to get started:

1. Go to www.spriggyschools.com.au to register

2. Create a profile for each of your children, make sure you select "Barrawang Primary" as our school name and your child's homegroup. This is important so your child's lunch can be delivered to the right homegroup.

3. Don't forget after you register online you can download the app for ease of ongoing orders.

4. Start placing lunch orders every Wednesday and Friday.

Students can also bring a small amount of money for over the counter sales at lunch.

Getting Involved

At Barrawang Primary School, we believe that families and the school are education partners. We recognise that the best educational experiences for children will occur when there is open communication, mutual trust and respect between the school and the home. Children whose parents and carers actively participate in the school, or who are involved with their education at home, are more successful at school.

There are many ways to get involved with the school, including helping in the classroom, the canteen or the library, regular working bees, fundraisers, the school events team and school council.

All school helpers are required to have a valid Working with Children Check.
